About
Drill Sergeant of KC
Chris & Alyssa Robinson entered into this field by family association. Alyssa’s dad/Chris’s father-in-law has been in the dental repair field for almost 20 years. Over the past two years, they have served an apprenticeship on handpiece and Cavitron repair with him.

Repairs have come naturally for Chris as he grew up in a family that fixed their own items: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, car mechanics, etc. Through the years, Chris has been involved with contracting repair services, so there is essentially nothing he can’t repair . . . or learn to repair. Segueing into dental handpiece repairs came easy, especially as his father-in-law was able to show him the trade.
While Chris repairs, Alyssa handles the administrative and logistical work. This too comes easy for her as she has been in this line of work for several years as well. Coupled with being a mom and juggling the logistics of a household, two kids, husband and countless activities . . . she is in familiar territory in helping on this side of the business. With extensive training coupled with continued CE in the handpiece repair field, their knowledge and workmanship will help keep your dental practice running at the highest efficiency.
Chris & Alyssa both understand customer service, the need to take care of the customer first and they have a drive to do this as they take care of their customers with Drill Sergeant of KC.

CAVITRON REPAIR
We repair all models of Cavitron Scaling and Prophy Jet units. Customers will find faster turnaround times (typically 11-14 days), and will save up to 50% versus Dentsply service. All Cavitron work is warrantied.
We provide a free quote on all Cavitron repairs. We also offer refurbished units with a full warranty as an alternative to the cost of new units.

Best Maintenance Practices
-
Always follow the manufacturer's recommended pressure settings. Most air driven handpieces run between 30-40 psi and running at higher pressures will decrease the life of the bearings.
-
Service each handpiece after each use.
-
Flush or purge each handpiece before removal from the air supply tubing for 20 seconds.
-
Never run a handpiece without a bur.
-
Quick disconnect connections may be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton applicator.
-
Fiber Optic surfaces can be cleaned using isopropyl alcohol on a cotton applicator.
-
Never wash, spray or immerse any handpiece in cold sterilant or chemical disinfectants. This may damage or corrode metals.
-
Normal Lubrication
-
Spray lubricant should be sprayed or dropped ONLY into the drive air tube at the base of the handpiece which leads to the turbine. The drive air tube is the smaller of the two larger tubes and is usually the shorter one.
-
Place handpiece on an air source and purge the handpiece for 20 seconds to expel any excess lubricant.
-
Wipe excess oil from handpiece.
-
-
Always remove the bur prior to reprocessing
